Join us for the 2026 Men’s Al-Anon Weekend, October 2-4, at Sautee Mountain Retreat near Clarkesville, Georgia. Surrounded by the beauty and peace of the North Georgia mountains, this weekend offers an opportunity to connect with other men in recovery through fellowship, workshops, personal reflection, and the shared experience of the Al-Anon program.

Hosted by the 9:30 AM Saturday Atlanta Men’s Al-Anon Meeting, this retreat is designed to encourage recovery in a welcoming, supportive environment. Whether you are new to Al-Anon or have been attending for years, you’ll find meaningful conversations, practical workshops, and time to recharge.

Weekend Schedule
Friday

The weekend begins with an optional afternoon hike around Clarkesville for those who would like to enjoy the outdoors before the retreat officially begins.

After check-in and registration, we’ll gather for an introductory meeting, followed by dinner and a Step 1 Workshop to begin our weekend together.

Saturday

Saturday starts with an optional morning meditation and breakfast before a full day of workshops. Topics include:

12 Traditions and Relationships
Resentment
Creatively Sloganing

The afternoon includes several hours of open time to enjoy hiking, fishing, reading, relaxing, or simply spending time in fellowship with others.

Following dinner, we’ll gather around the campfire for our Campfire Speaker Meeting, one of the highlights of the weekend.

Sunday

Sunday begins with optional meditation and breakfast before our Higher Power Workshop. The weekend concludes with an Open Mic Meeting, closing remarks, and checkout. Participants are welcome to stay afterward for an optional lunch before heading home.

The retreat center provides a peaceful mountain setting with comfortable cabin accommodations and plenty of space for quiet reflection and fellowship.

Accommodations

Participants may choose from:
Private Single Room with one twin bed and shared cabin amenities.
Semi-Private Shared Room with two twin beds and shared cabin amenities.

Both lodging options include:
Friday dinner
Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner
Sunday breakfast

There are no “musts” for the weekend.
Attend the workshops and activities that are meaningful to you and participate at your own pace.

Please note:
Cell phone reception may be limited.
Bring a portable camp chair for outdoor meetings and fellowship.
A Serenity Fund is available to help members experiencing financial hardship attend the retreat.
