New Group Registration Information
This information applies to new Al-Anon groups only. To register a new Alateen group, contact Tammy Y, the Area Alateen Process Person (AAPP) Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Who can start a group?
Any two or more relatives or friends of alcoholics who meet to solve the common problems they face because of someone else’s drinking may call themselves an Al‑Anon Family Group, provided that, as a group, they have no other affiliation. Anyone can request that an Al‑Anon meeting be started in their community. However, Al‑Anon meetings are only conducted by Al‑Anon members.
Find out more in the Al-Anon guideline “Starting an Al-Anon Group.
How does a new group become registered?
Registration with the World Service Office ensures a connection with worldwide Al-Anon. The WSO will register any group designating itself as an Al-Anon Family Group with the understanding that it will abide by the Traditions, welcome anyone whose life has been affected by a problem drinker, and have no other affiliation as a group.
The New Al-Anon Group Registration form should be submitted directly to WSO, not the Area 11 Group Records Coordinator.
This pdf form should be submitted to Al‑Anon Family Groups Headquarters, Inc. , 1600 Corporate Landing Parkway, Virginia Beach, VA 23454
